Gather supplies: paper (colored and green), scissors, glue or tape, pencil, ruler, and optional markers
Cut green paper strips for the stem and leaves
Cut colored paper into multiple petals (about 8–12 petals)
Trace and cut petal shapes, then round the top edges if desired
Fold each petal slightly to add dimension
Arrange petals in a circle and glue or tape them together at the base
Create the flower center using a small circle of yellow or contrasting paper
Add texture to the center by cutting small fringe lines or drawing dots
Glue the center onto the middle of the petal circle
Make a backing layer: cut a second set of petals or a larger petal shape and glue behind the first layer (optional)
Create the stem: roll a green strip into a tube and glue along the seam
Add leaves: cut leaf shapes, fold slightly, and glue to the stem
Attach the flower head to the top of the stem using glue or tape
Optional finishing: add small details like veins on leaves or marker accents on petals
