Turn on the printer and make sure it is connected to your computer or network
Place the document face down on the scanner glass or face up in the automatic document feeder
Close the scanner lid if using the glass
Open the scanner or printer software on your computer
Select the scan option
Choose the correct printer or scanner device
Select the scan settings you want, such as file type, color, and resolution
Start the scan
Wait for the scan to finish
Save the scanned document to your computer or cloud storage
Check the file to make sure the scan looks correct
