Wash your hands
Clean and dry the affected area
Shake the calamine lotion bottle well
Apply a thin layer to the skin using a cotton ball, cotton pad, or clean fingers
Let the lotion dry completely
Reapply as directed on the product label or by a doctor
Wash your hands after applying unless treating your hands
Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and inside the nose
Do not apply to broken or severely irritated skin unless directed by a doctor
Stop use and seek medical advice if irritation worsens
