Open the Control Panel
Click User Accounts
Click User Accounts again
Click Change your account name
Type the new name
Click Change Name
Restart your PC if needed
For a Microsoft account, go to account.microsoft.com
Sign in
Click Your info
Click Edit name
Enter the new name
Save the changes
Sign out and sign back in to apply the update
