Carry your passbook, cheque book, debit card, and unused cheque leaves
Withdraw or transfer all remaining balance from the account
Fill the SBI account closure form
Mention the reason for closure in the form
Submit the closure form along with the required documents
Return the passbook, cheque book, debit card, and unused cheque leaves
Clear any pending charges, loans, or dues linked to the account
Collect the acknowledgement receipt after submission
Wait for the account closure to be processed by the bank
Confirm that the account has been closed successfully
