Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan
Add 1 to 2 teaspoons of green tea leaves
Add 2 to 3 crushed green cardamom pods
Add 1 small cinnamon stick
Add 2 to 3 saffron strands
Add 1 to 2 cloves
Add 1 teaspoon chopped almonds or almond slivers
Add 1 teaspoon sugar or honey, if desired
Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes
Turn off the heat and let it steep for 1 to 2 minutes
Strain into cups
Serve hot
