Write “Pay to the order of [Full Name]” or “Endorse to [Full Name]” on the back of the cheque
Sign your name exactly as it appears on the front of the cheque
Add your account number or cheque number on the back if your bank requires it
Use a pen (typically blue or black ink)
Make sure the endorsement is within the endorsement area on the back of the cheque
Provide the cheque to the person you endorsed it to
Confirm the recipient’s bank accepts cheque endorsements and any required ID or deposit rules
If the cheque is payable to more than one person, ensure endorsements match the payee wording and bank rules
