Turn off the sewing machine
Raise the presser foot
Raise the needle to its highest position
Place the thread spool on the spool pin
Secure the spool with the spool cap if needed
Pull the thread through the top thread guide
Guide the thread through the tension guide
Follow the machine’s threading path down and around the take-up lever
Thread the take-up lever
Bring the thread back down through the lower guides
Thread the needle from front to back or as your machine requires
Pull several inches of thread through the needle
Place the bobbin in the bobbin case or drop-in bobbin area
Pull the bobbin thread up if required
Hold both thread tails under the presser foot
Turn the handwheel toward you to lower and raise the needle once
Pull both threads to the back of the machine
Close any covers and prepare to sew
