Burp your baby during and after feeds
Feed in a more upright position
Keep the baby upright for 20 to 30 minutes after feeding
Check the bottle nipple flow if bottle-feeding
Make sure the latch is deep and comfortable if breastfeeding
Offer smaller, more frequent feeds
Try gentle tummy massage
Move the baby’s legs in a bicycle motion
Give supervised tummy time when awake
Rock, sway, or gently walk with the baby
Use a warm bath
Check for signs of overfeeding
Review your own diet if breastfeeding and certain foods seem to trigger gas
Try a different formula only with your pediatrician’s guidance
Contact a pediatrician if the baby has vomiting, fever, blood in stool, poor weight gain, hard swollen belly, or severe crying
