Download and run the official McAfee Consumer Product Removal (MCPR) tool from the McAfee website
Double-click the MCPR tool file
Accept the prompts and follow the on-screen instructions
Restart the computer when prompted
Uninstall remaining McAfee apps (if any) via Windows Settings:
Open Settings
Go to Apps
Select McAfee products
Click Uninstall
Remove remaining McAfee folders (if present):
Delete files/folders in common locations such as:
C:Program FilesMcAfee
C:Program Files (x86)McAfee
C:ProgramDataMcAfee
Reboot the computer again
Check for leftover services/drivers (optional):
Open Task Manager to verify no McAfee processes remain
Open Services (services.msc) and stop/disable any remaining McAfee services if present
Confirm removal:
Search for “McAfee” in Windows search and verify no McAfee applications remain
Run a quick scan with Windows Security if desired
