Open the tape gun by lifting the tape holder or side cover, if applicable
Place the tape roll onto the spindle with the sticky side facing down and the tape unwinding from the bottom
Pull the tape end forward through the roller and guide path
Thread the tape under the dispenser blade
Pull several inches of tape past the blade
Close the tape gun if it has a cover
Test the tape by pressing the trigger or pulling the handle to ensure it dispenses smoothly
