If instructed by a clinician, use a potassium binder exactly as prescribed
If instructed by a clinician, take a diuretic exactly as prescribed
If instructed by a clinician, receive IV calcium, insulin with glucose, albuterol, or dialysis in a medical setting
Do not try to lower potassium quickly on your own if you have kidney disease, diabetes, or take ACE inhibitors, ARBs, spironolactone, eplerenone, or trimethoprim
Recheck potassium as soon as advised by your clinician
