1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons peanut butter or tahini
1 tablespoon honey or molasses
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
1 to 2 teaspoons water, as needed
Whisk all ingredients together until smooth
Adjust thickness with water
Adjust sweetness with more honey or sugar
Adjust saltiness with more soy sauce
