Place the yam strips in a bowl
Add oil, salt, and any desired seasonings
Toss until evenly coated
Arrange the yam strips in a single layer on a baking sheet
Line the baking sheet with parchment paper if desired
Bake for 20 to 30 minutes
Flip the fries halfway through baking
Bake until tender and lightly browned
Remove from the oven and serve immediately
