Remove dust, dirt, and grease from the baseboards
Fill nail holes, dents, and gaps with wood filler or caulk
Sand the surface smooth
Wipe away all sanding dust
Tape off the wall and floor if needed
Apply painter’s tape along edges for clean lines
Prime bare wood or repaired areas
Stir the paint thoroughly
Use a high-quality angled brush
Paint the top edge first
Paint the main face of the baseboard
Paint the bottom edge last
Apply a thin, even coat
Let the first coat dry completely
Apply a second coat if needed
Remove painter’s tape before the paint fully hardens
Let the paint cure before heavy contact
