Turn on the TV
Slide the mode switch on the DirecTV remote to TV
Press and hold MUTE and SELECT until the light blinks twice
Enter the TV brand code using the number buttons
Press POWER to test the TV
If the TV turns off, press SELECT to save the code
If the TV does not respond, repeat with another code for the TV brand
If needed, use the DirecTV remote code lookup for the correct TV code
Test volume and power after programming
