Take a healthy mint stem cutting about 4–6 inches long
Remove the leaves from the lower half of the stem
Place the cutting in a glass of water with the nodes submerged
Put the glass in bright, indirect light
Change the water every few days
Wait for roots to grow about 1–2 inches long
Fill a pot with moist, well-draining soil
Plant the rooted cutting in the soil
Water lightly after planting
Keep the soil evenly moist
Pinch back the growing tips to encourage bushier growth
Divide an established mint plant by separating rooted sections and replanting them
