Park the vehicle on a level surface
Let the tyres cool before checking
Find the recommended tyre pressure on the door jamb, fuel flap, or owner’s manual
Remove the valve cap from the tyre
Press a tyre pressure gauge firmly onto the valve stem
Read the pressure shown on the gauge
Compare the reading with the recommended pressure
Add air if the pressure is low
Release air if the pressure is too high
Recheck the pressure after adjusting
Replace the valve cap securely
Check all tyres, including the spare if applicable
