Check the Recycle Bin or Trash
Open Microsoft Word and look for AutoRecover files
Go to File and select Info, then Manage Document
Search for unsaved documents in Word
Use the Document Recovery pane if it appears
Open recent versions from OneDrive or SharePoint version history
Restore a previous version from File Explorer or Finder
Search your computer for .doc, .docx, .asd, or .tmp files
Use Word’s Open and Repair option
Check backup folders or cloud backups
Use file recovery software if the file was deleted
Restore from a system backup if available
