Open McAfee and sign in if needed
Turn off McAfee protection features temporarily
Open Windows Settings
Go to Apps
Select Installed apps or Apps & features
Find all McAfee entries
Uninstall each McAfee app one by one
Restart the computer
Download the McAfee Consumer Product Removal tool
Run the MCPR tool as administrator
Follow the on-screen prompts
Restart the computer again
Open Task Manager
Check for any remaining McAfee processes
End any McAfee-related tasks if present
Open File Explorer
Delete leftover McAfee folders in Program Files
Delete leftover McAfee folders in ProgramData
Delete leftover McAfee folders in AppData
Open Services
Stop any remaining McAfee services
Disable any remaining McAfee startup items
Open Device Manager
Remove any McAfee-related drivers if present
Open Registry Editor
Remove leftover McAfee registry entries only if you are sure they belong to McAfee
Restart the computer
Check Windows Security to confirm protection is active
Install or enable another antivirus if needed
