Open the lock using the current combination
Locate the reset tool or reset lever, depending on the model
Turn the shackle 90 degrees or 180 degrees as required by the lock model
Press the shackle down into the lock body
Hold the shackle down and set the new combination on the dials
Release the shackle and return it to the locked position
Scramble the dials to save the new combination
Test the new combination before using the lock normally
