Preheat the oven to 300°F to 350°F
Rinse the pumpkin seeds and remove any pumpkin pulp
Pat the seeds completely dry
Toss the seeds with a little oil and salt if desired
Spread the seeds in a single layer on a baking sheet
Bake for 15 to 25 minutes, stirring once halfway through
Remove when the seeds are golden and crisp
Let the seeds cool before eating or storing
