Open your phone’s Settings app
Tap Security or Lock Screen
Tap Screen lock or Password
Enter your current password, PIN, or pattern
Select Change password or Change screen lock
Enter your new password
Confirm the new password
Save the changes
Test the new password by locking and unlocking your phone
