Label each part with its location and orientation
Keep similar parts grouped together
Protect fragile surfaces with blankets or padding
Disassemble large sections into manageable pieces
Avoid forcing stuck parts
Use the correct tool size to prevent stripping fasteners
Remove glass panels carefully and wrap them separately
Secure loose cords, hinges, and connectors
Stack flat pieces together with padding between them
Wrap sharp edges and corners
Store hardware and instructions in one clearly marked container
Load disassembled parts upright or flat as appropriate
Keep assembled and disassembled pieces organized by room or item
