Click the Apple menu
Select System Settings
Click Network
Select your active connection, such as Wi-Fi or Ethernet
View the IP address shown in the connection details
Open Terminal
Type `ipconfig getifaddr en0` and press Return for Wi-Fi
Type `ipconfig getifaddr en1` and press Return if needed
Type `ifconfig` and look for the `inet` address under the active network interface
Open System Settings
Click Wi-Fi
Click Details next to your connected network
Find the IP address in the network information
Open Safari or another browser
Search for “what is my IP”
View your public IP address on the results page
