Remove the wall plate
Unscrew the outlet from the electrical box
Inspect the box and outlet for damage
Tighten the outlet mounting screws
Add outlet spacers if the outlet sits too far back
Replace a worn or damaged electrical box if needed
Replace stripped screws or use longer screws if necessary
Reinstall the outlet securely and keep wires properly positioned
Reattach the wall plate
Restore power and test the outlet
Call a licensed electrician if the box is loose, damaged, or wiring is unsafe
