Find the wall studs with a stud finder
Mark the mirror’s top edge and hanging points on the wall
Measure the mirror’s weight
Choose hardware rated above the mirror’s weight
Use heavy-duty picture hooks, D-rings, or French cleat hardware
Drill pilot holes into studs if possible
Install anchors only if studs are not available and the wall type supports them
Attach the hanging hardware to the mirror frame
Hang the mirror on the installed hardware
Use a level to make sure the mirror is straight
Add felt pads or bumpers to keep the mirror flush against the wall
Test the mirror gently to confirm it is secure
