Remove the old weather stripping, if present
Clean the door frame and door surface
Measure the top, sides, and bottom of the door frame
Cut the new weather stripping to fit each section
Test-fit the pieces before attaching them
Peel off the adhesive backing, if applicable
Press the weather stripping firmly into place along the frame
Nail or staple the stripping in place if required
Install the bottom seal or door sweep if needed
Close the door to check for a tight seal
Trim any excess material
Recheck the door operation and adjust if necessary
