How to Stick Wallpaper?

Gather wallpaper, paste or adhesive, brush or roller, smoothing tool, utility knife, measuring tape, level, sponge, and ladder

Turn off power and remove outlet and switch covers

Clean the wall and let it dry completely

Repair holes, cracks, and uneven areas

Sand rough spots and wipe away dust

Apply primer or wallpaper sizing if needed

Measure the wall and cut wallpaper strips with extra length

Mark a vertical plumb line for the first strip

Apply paste to the wallpaper or wall, depending on wallpaper type

Fold pasted wallpaper gently if required and let it book for the recommended time

Position the first strip along the plumb line

Smooth from the center outward to remove air bubbles

Align each new strip to the previous strip with matching pattern

Butt seams together without overlapping unless the wallpaper requires it

Trim excess at the top and bottom with a sharp utility knife

Wipe off excess paste with a damp sponge

Repeat for all remaining strips

Cut around outlets, switches, corners, and edges carefully

Let the wallpaper dry fully before reinstalling covers or moving furniture
