Open your Discord server
Click the server name
Select Server Settings
Click Roles
Create a new role or choose an existing one
Enable the permissions you want to give the moderator
Save the role
Go to Server Settings
Click Members
Find the person you want to make a mod
Click the plus icon next to their name
Assign the moderator role to them
Save changes
Make sure the role is placed above lower roles if needed
Check that the member has the correct permissions in channels
Confirm the member can now moderate the server
