Restart the laptop
Check if the keyboard is physically enabled
Press the keyboard shortcut for keyboard lock or function lock
Go to Device Manager
Expand Keyboards
Right-click the keyboard device
Select Enable device
If Enable device is not available, select Uninstall device
Restart the laptop
Install or update the keyboard driver
Check Windows Update for driver updates
Run the keyboard troubleshooter
Check BIOS or UEFI settings for keyboard enable options
Connect an external keyboard to test the system
If the keyboard still does not work, service the laptop
