Open the app you want to use the camera with
Allow camera access when prompted
On Windows, go to Settings
Select Privacy or Privacy & security
Select Camera
Turn on Camera access
Turn on Let apps access your camera
Turn on access for the specific app you want to use
On Mac, open System Settings
Select Privacy & Security
Select Camera
Enable camera access for the app
Check for a camera key or function key on the keyboard
Press the camera key or use Fn plus the camera key if needed
Open Device Manager on Windows
Expand Cameras or Imaging devices
Enable the camera device if it is disabled
Restart the laptop if the camera still does not turn on
