Open the app that uses the camera, such as Camera, Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet
Allow camera permission when prompted
On Windows, press the Windows key, type Camera, and open the Camera app
On Mac, open Photo Booth or FaceTime
Check the laptop camera privacy switch or shutter, if available, and open it
Press the camera function key on the keyboard, if your laptop has one
In the app settings, select the built-in laptop camera
Make sure the camera is enabled in device settings
Restart the laptop if the camera does not turn on
Update or reinstall the camera driver if needed
