Open the Southwest app and sign in
Tap Trips or Upcoming Trips
Select your flight
Tap Check In or Manage Reservation
Look for Add Bags or Baggage options
Select the number of checked bags
Review the baggage fee, if any
Confirm and pay if required
Save the confirmation or receipt
At the airport, go to the bag drop or check-in counter to drop off your checked bag
