Park the car on level ground and turn off the engine
Let the engine cool for a few minutes
Open the hood and locate the oil dipstick and oil filler cap
Remove the dipstick and wipe it clean
Reinsert the dipstick fully, then remove it again to check the oil level
Unscrew the oil filler cap
Use the correct type and grade of oil for your car
Insert a funnel into the oil filler opening
Pour in a small amount of oil
Wait a moment, then recheck the dipstick
Add more oil gradually if needed
Do not overfill
Replace the oil filler cap securely
Reinsert the dipstick fully
Close the hood
Check for any oil leaks after starting the engine
