How To Add Remote Desktop To Windows 11 Home?

Windows 11 Home does not include the built-in Remote Desktop host feature

Use a third-party remote desktop app such as AnyDesk, TeamViewer, Chrome Remote Desktop, RustDesk, or Splashtop

Download and install the same app on both computers

Sign in or create the required account if the app needs one

Enable unattended access on the Windows 11 Home PC if supported

Set a strong password for remote access

Allow the app through Windows Firewall when prompted

Keep the Windows 11 Home PC powered on and connected to the internet

Use the remote access app from the other device to connect

If you need Microsoft Remote Desktop host support, upgrade Windows 11 Home to Windows 11 Pro

After upgrading to Pro, open Settings

Go to System

Go to Remote Desktop

Turn on Remote Desktop

Confirm the prompt

Note the PC name for connections

Connect from another Windows device using the Remote Desktop app
