Open Telegram
Tap the menu or compose icon
Select New Contact or Add Contact
Enter the person’s name and phone number
Tap Save
Open the chat with the person
Tap their name or profile
Select Add to Contacts if available
To add them to a group, open the group
Tap the group name
Select Add Members
Choose the person from your contacts or search for them
Tap Add
