Press the tofu for 15–30 minutes to remove excess moisture
Cut the tofu into even cubes, slabs, or triangles
Pat the tofu very dry with paper towels
Toss the tofu with a little oil
Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, soy sauce, or other spices
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F to 400°F
Arrange the tofu in a single layer in the basket
Avoid overcrowding the basket
Air fry for 12–18 minutes
Shake or flip the tofu halfway through cooking
Add a light extra spray of oil if needed for crispness
Cook a few minutes longer for deeper browning
Remove when the tofu is golden and crisp on the outside
Serve immediately for the best texture
