Open Instagram
Go to your phone settings
Enable Dark Mode on your device
On iPhone, go to Settings > Display & Brightness > Dark
On Android, go to Settings > Display > Dark theme
Reopen Instagram
Check that Instagram is now using the black theme
If needed, update Instagram to the latest version
If the app still does not change, restart the app or your phone
