Ensure you have a valid visa or travel document for the destination country
Obtain the International Driving Permit application form from the local Regional Transport Office (RTO) or Parivahan portal
Fill in the application form accurately
Attach a copy of your valid Indian driving licence
Attach a copy of your passport
Attach a copy of your visa or travel ticket, if required by the RTO
Attach passport-size photographs as specified
Pay the applicable fee
Submit the application at the concerned RTO or through the online portal, if available
Complete any required verification or biometric process
Collect the International Driving Permit after approval from the RTO
Carry the International Driving Permit along with your Indian driving licence while driving abroad
