Measure the staircase railing, banister, or wall area where the garland will go
Choose garland length based on the full path plus extra for draping
Gather hooks, zip ties, floral wire, or removable adhesive clips
Start at the top or bottom of the stairs and secure the first end firmly
Attach the garland at regular intervals along the railing or banister
Use zip ties or wire to wrap the garland around spindles or railings
Keep the garland evenly spaced and adjust the drape as you go
Secure any loose sections with additional clips or ties
Tuck in lights, ribbons, or decorations after the garland is attached
Check that the garland is stable and does not block the stairs
Remove all fasteners carefully after use to avoid damage
