Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil
Place a wire rack on the baking sheet (optional but helps crispness)
Lay bacon strips in a single layer without overlapping
Bake for 12–18 minutes, flipping halfway if desired
Remove when bacon is crisp to your liking
Transfer bacon to a paper towel–lined plate to drain
Let rest 1–2 minutes before serving
