Preheat the oven to 400°F
Remove the husks and silk from the corn
Rinse the corn under cool water
Pat the corn dry
Brush the corn with melted butter or oil
Season with salt and pepper if desired
Wrap each ear in aluminum foil or place directly on a baking sheet
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes
Turn the corn halfway through baking if not wrapped
Remove from the oven carefully
Unwrap if needed and serve hot
