Earn a high school diploma or GED
Take biology, anatomy, physiology, math, and chemistry courses
Research accredited cardiovascular technology or radiologic technology programs
Enroll in an associate degree or certificate program
Complete required classroom and clinical training
Learn anatomy, patient care, ECG interpretation, and catheterization procedures
Gain hands-on experience in a cath lab during clinical rotations
Obtain CPR and Basic Life Support certification
Earn required state licensure if applicable
Pursue certification such as RCIS or ARRT if required or preferred
Apply for cath lab technologist positions
Build experience in cardiac catheterization, monitoring, and sterile technique
Maintain certifications and complete continuing education requirements
