How To Bleed Brakes?

Park on a level surface and secure the vehicle

Check the brake fluid type specified by the manufacturer

Fill the master cylinder reservoir to the proper level

Remove the wheel if needed for access to the bleeder screw

Attach a clear hose to the bleeder screw and place the other end in a container

Have an assistant press the brake pedal slowly and hold it down

Open the bleeder screw slightly

Close the bleeder screw before the pedal is released

Repeat until no air bubbles appear in the fluid

Keep the master cylinder reservoir filled during the process

Bleed the brakes in the manufacturer-specified order

Tighten all bleeder screws to the correct specification

Refill the master cylinder reservoir to the proper level

Check for leaks at all bleeder screws and fittings

Pump the brake pedal to confirm a firm feel

Test the brakes at low speed in a safe area
