Coarsely grind coffee beans
Measure coffee and water
Combine coffee grounds with cold or room-temperature water
Stir gently to wet all grounds
Cover the container
Steep in the refrigerator or at room temperature for 12 to 24 hours
Strain through a fine mesh sieve, cheesecloth, or coffee filter
Discard the grounds
Serve over ice or dilute with water or milk if desired
Store the cold brew in the refrigerator for up to 1 week
