Heat fresh water to about 195–205°F
Place a filter in the dripper and rinse it with hot water
Discard the rinse water
Add medium-fine ground coffee to the filter
Use about 1 to 2 tablespoons of coffee per 6 ounces of water
Level the coffee bed by gently shaking the dripper
Start a timer
Pour just enough water to wet all the grounds
Wait 30 to 45 seconds for the coffee to bloom
Slowly pour the remaining water in small circles
Keep the water level steady without overflowing the filter
Let the coffee drip through completely
Remove the dripper
Serve and drink immediately
