Measure the opening where the drawer will fit
Decide the drawer width, height, and depth
Choose drawer material such as plywood or solid wood
Cut the front, back, sides, and bottom pieces to size
Cut joinery for the corners if desired
Assemble the drawer frame with glue and fasteners
Attach the drawer bottom in a groove or with nails and glue
Check that the drawer is square
Sand all edges and surfaces smooth
Install the drawer slides in the cabinet
Attach the matching slide hardware to the drawer
Test the drawer fit and movement
Adjust alignment if needed
Add the drawer front or handle
Finish the drawer with paint, stain, or sealant
