How To Calculate Bricks For Wall?

Measure the wall length, height, and thickness

Calculate wall volume = length × height × thickness

Determine brick size including mortar joint

Calculate volume of one brick with mortar

Divide wall volume by brick volume with mortar

Add 5% to 10% extra for breakage and wastage

Use the formula: Number of bricks = Wall volume ÷ Brick volume with mortar + wastage

For standard modular bricks, use about 500 bricks per cubic meter

For a 4.5-inch wall, use about 50 bricks per square meter

For a 9-inch wall, use about 100 bricks per square meter

Subtract openings like doors and windows before final calculation
