How To Calculate Concrete?

Measure the length, width, and thickness of the concrete area

Convert all measurements to the same unit

Multiply length × width × thickness to get volume

For slabs, use thickness in feet or meters to match the other dimensions

For footings or beams, calculate each section separately and add them together

Add 5% to 10% extra for waste and spillage

Convert the final volume to cubic yards, cubic feet, or cubic meters as needed

Use the formula: Volume = Length × Width × Thickness

Use the formula: Cubic yards = Cubic feet ÷ 27

Use the formula: Cubic meters = Length × Width × Thickness in meters

For multiple areas, calculate each area separately and total them

For irregular shapes, divide the area into simple shapes and calculate each one

For columns, use: Volume = Cross-sectional area × Height

For cylindrical shapes, use: Volume = π × radius² × height
